Why not mention the girls from Jordan Elbridge that won? This is obviously a biased column. Just for the record for the past 10 or so years Skaneateles has beaten JE 7-0 in every match they've played. The JE girls have made a HUGE improvement by barely losing to the Lakers in a close 4-3 match. Their efforts should definitely have been mentioned and congratulated.

A little info for future reference during the season. Katie Ferris will be attending UConn next year, not SU. Kat DeRonda is heading to Northwestern and Kailah Kempney, a Junior, has given a verbal to SU.

On another note, while Ms. Ferris's ability to put the ball in the back of the net is without question, her success parallels that of the midfield. If Tiernan, DeRonda,, Kempney, Sauter, and Percy are able to control play between the restaining lines, Ferris ends up on the receiving end of many feeds. From the Watertown Daily Times boxscore I'd guess the majority of her 9 goals were the result of DeRonda's 8 assists, who by the way, started the season 53 assists short of the state record set by Carolyn Davis.

Hey this is the second time Hamilton girls have beaten the previously unbeaten and state ranked Oriskany team this school year! Our soccer team did the same thing, wiped them out 6-0. Sounds like a good follow-up story if you ask me! Go HCS!!!

That Joe Spernyak kid is just awesome in the 55 meter hurdles. He and Matt Ulrich have been neck and neck all season. They are both great kids.
